    Default Video Editing Workstations

Hello everybody, I'm a university student and I'm working on an assignment where I need to design an IT system for a video editing business.
From my internet researches I could see that for a video editing station the key hardware to look at is powerful cpu (at least 4 cores) good amount of memory (at least 16 gb) good video-card (at least 1gb memory) and preferrably an SSD.

On my Assignment I'll use one workstation for editing and one for rendering, I'm not sure on the key aspects for a rendering station, could you please give me some hints?

Also, the computers are gonna be attached to a NAS, would you download the videos on the local SSD or a work on them through the NAS?

    Thanks for any advice!
