Default Pan/crop in Vegas doesn't work, can't get rid of black borders anymore

    Hi

I have made many timelapses in my videos before, and it has never been a problem to use the pan/crop to get rid of the black borders, by just zooming the borders out of the picture.
But when I try to do it now, it just zooms the picture, but the black borders does still remain there. I don't understand why it doesn't work, I haven't change any settings that I know of.
In the picture I have attached you can see what I mean.

    Best regards,
    Matthias

    Default

Open the Pan/Crop tool and make sure the 5th button down is selected. Then do the crop. I notice in your image it's not selected.

    Default

The reason for this is because your image is of a different Ratio to your project, eg the image is 4:3 and your project is 16:9

you need to right click the image in the jpg you supplied, and select MATCH OUTPUT ASPECT and it will crop your image to the correct ration.
