Default Ski Edit In Premiere Elements 12?

Hey guys, I just registered here to get a burning question potentially answered. I'm planning on making a ski edit, essentially a compilation of clips gathered while skiing all with frequent, SMOOTH slow mo and set to background music (Pretty self explanatory.) The editing software I'm looking at using it Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I'm rather skeptical on using it because there aren't many credible/thorough reviews on it. Was wondering if anyone here had experience with the software, and could tell me its capabilities.

Adobe describe the software here. And they offer a downloadable 'trial' version http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements.html
You might also consider "Vegas", the video editing software from Sony. Sony offer a trial version as well.

Both Adobe Premiere Elements and Sony Vegas (or it's consumer orientated brother Movie Studio) are perfectly adequate editors and capable of doing what you want. However good quality smooth slomo is achieved using cameras with high frame rates, rather than in software which has to "guess" (or interpolate) what the missing frames look like.

For example my camera (a UK model) will record at 25fps or 50fps. Playback in the UK is normally 25fps. This means if I record at 50fps, I can slow down to half speed without any need for software to interpolate missing frames. Once I slow down more than that the software comes into play. The interpolation within Premiere Elements and Vegas/Movie Studio is OK but not great. Better results are achieved with specialist software such as "Twixtor", but that will cost several times that of your editing software.
