I distribute my programs to hotels using their in house cable systems. As more and more of these systems convert to Digital (Xfinity; Direct TV; World Cinema, etc) my analog local insertion just doesn't hold up to all that HD stuff on adjacent channels. I produce my video in Prores 1080p and would like to distribute it via HDMI out of my player into the systems at each hotel. What is the best way to do that? What kind of conversion device do I need to get into these systems which have many more digital channels than analog channels? What I am doing is called 'local insertion', and I am told I need a QAM modulator to do this, at a cost that is prohibitive. Need some good advice on this one....
