Default Top tip from an amateur

Lenses don't bounce on hardwood flooring. My beloved 50mm is no longer. On the bright side, I know what the inside of a lens looks like.

    Oops.

Actually, grab some slo-mo footage next time you do it and you'll see it bounce quite a few times, alas not all in one piece!

Sorry to hear of your loss Marc!

That's really rather sad. Somehow a piece of finely ground and polished glass biting the dust is much sadder than all the whizz-bang electronics in your camera and editing system. I'll have a minute's silence. Probably around 4am.

I just needed to set my tripod to a weird angle. The result is one 10-30mm lens less. Fortunately the repair will not bee too expensive.
