Hello, I'm new to this forum. I'm a freelance videographer that works with Final Cut Pro. I'm now getting into doing music videos for musicians, I just wanted to know how to do a few things that I see in a lot of music videos today. I'm not too skilled with post effects, but I am learning. Maybe a few veterans can tell me what it all means.
It's all in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJqsrgKPC50
I'm not really into the music, but I think the video work was magnificent.
-@1:31 It seems like the main character in this video is "phasing in and out" and a green tint and reddish tint is outlining his body. I can't for the life of me figure out what that is. It happens pretty much everywhere in the video.
-The widescreen look? Is this shot in a specific way to achieve that? Or did the editor just crop the top/bottom to give it that effect?
-I notice a lot of ramping, from regular motion to slower motion. I use a Canon Rebel. Is that slowed shooting in 60fps?
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
