Thread: Limitations of fx effects

    Default Limitations of fx effects

It seems like I can apply "fx" effects to an entire track but is this limited to special effects only or can I apply things like "play back rate" to all clips on the track ?

    Thanks in advance

It rather depends on what you mean by play back rate. If you mean you want to take sya three events on a track which last a total of 5 seconds and then stretch them at the track level so they all last twice as long, then no, you can't.

    Tim,
try selecting a track and right-clicking on the reddish rate triangle in the lower left corner and see what happens.

When you right mouse click on a movie clip and select properties there are options to change mute, lock, loop....play rate etc. This changes only the file you clicked on. Can you do global changes for mute, lock, loop....play rate etc ?

Unless I misunderstand you (or I'm missing something - always a possibility):
    1. This affects the playback rate of the all tracks - not just the selected track (ie it is not applied at track level)
    2. This only applies to preview - render it out and it's rendered at normal speed.

Should have remembered that. I must have been half/totally asleep at the wheel
