Default How to add a audio bleep

I have a word that I would like to bleep out of my video. How would I go about doing this?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Download a bleep effect (google bleep.wav). Add it to an audio track where you want to "bleep". You may need to lower the volume of your main track for a second.

    Default Creating tones for censorship

Download Audacity, select the area of the timeline where the word occurs, (after you have extracted the audio as MP3) and generate a waveform Sine tone of about 1000-1500 Hertz. Then you'll have a perfect "bleep" every time. But first you have to extract the audio from the video using SUPER, for example-- to an MP3 file. Then you need to use your video editor ( i.e., Windows Movies Maker) to use that audio clip and instead of the original audio from the video. You must mute that. Once you import your censored audio, save the video with it and voila!

If you already have an NLE, then there is no point in downloading or using another piece of software. If you can lock the video track, make a cut on the audio track before and after the word you want to bleep out, a remove that part of the audio track. Substitute it for a sound effect that you insert into the gap left by the piece you removed.
