Default Transferring edited work from Pinnacle to Adobe Elements etc

If I save my work as DV quality type 2 (whatever that really means) and transfer the final product to Adobe elements or other packages to continue adding to the work, will there be a great loss of quality on the transferred part? I will not be reediting the part taht will be transferred. Just adding to either side of it.

    thanks

By definition there will be a small loss. Probably not visible if it's the first re-encode of the video and you haven't added text.
