My son, Will, is part of the Drayson Racing Technologies team which is today attempting to break the world land speed record for an electric car under 1000Kg over a measured mile in both directions at RAF Elvington, Yorkshire today.
Apart from a tweet and a short video clip at around 3.30pm from Robert Llewellyn (Kryten for "Red Dwarf" & Scrapheap Challenge) syaing they'd had a first attempt ("not flat out") I've heard nothing, despite the fact there are apparently many news crews there.
I'm on tenterhooks.
Anywhere near you Midnight?
(FWIW Will has spent the last God knowns how many weeks weldong the fuel cells together - and he did have a curry with Kryten last night!)
