    Default Stylish Animated Background effects

I am a newbie in editing video and I have the latest Adobe After Effects software. I want to make a frame pause, then remove the original background and insert an animated background for like few seconds and after that, the video is continue playing. I've seen it on tv when the show introduce the characters. Could anyone tell me how to make this awesome effects. Thanks!!

    I disagree. I'm sure it's bluescreening!

It's possible it was rotoscoped but not very likely.

Film in front of a nice blue or green screen. Then just replace the green or blue with anything of your choice. you cannot (easily) film a 'normal' background and replace that. You will have to put the 'normal' background in as part of the bluescreenign process as well as the animation version.

Have a try. It's quite hard to get it perfect but easy enough to get results that are quite OK. definitely somethign to play with.

thank you, guys for helping me out. I know how to do it. It was rotoscoping. If anyone want to do this awesome effects, this step-by-step tutorial is very helpful.
