Thread: Romeo and Juliet & Drive (Leonardo DiCaprio+Ryan Gosling) Movie Trailer

  1. Cool Romeo and Juliet & Drive (Leonardo DiCaprio+Ryan Gosling) Movie Trailer

The 1996 production of Romeo and Juliet featuring Leonardo DiCaprio is mixed with Ryan Gosling's Drive. Always appreciated the 1996 production for making Shakespeare cool.

This was my first Movie trailer, my mom said it's good but she's probably a bit biased, let me know what you think

At least Shakespeare won't take you to court for copyright infringement.
Why don't the clip not even credit the originators of the videos and music?

Haha i have every intention for the originators of the video and sound to receive full credit for their works don't you worry.

I did post it in fan videos after all. Credit is given in the description found on youtube, which i originally posted it on.

I am saddened, but not worried.

Yes, that is why I posted a critical assessment of the posted material.
Whilst I am not a fan of 'fan videos', it feels unfair to the original artists not to include such credits in the clip (even if you don't have permission to use the footage or the audio). I am however, pleased your mum likes it.

Tangentally, my IAC licence which allows me to use any music I have bought retail in the UK in videos (under striclty limited circumstances - mainly amateur film festivals and competitions and YouTube - though the last seems pretty hit and miss) strictly forbids crediting the artist or composer.
I agree it seems unfair, but then again, one wouldn't want to give the impression the artist/composer has endorsed the end product, which it might if credited.

Why did you choose those two films? I was expecting the two films to have been made into "one"', I.e use clips from both to create a new narrative (I've seen this done for trailers of yet to be released films by fans).
