Default move both from point A to point B

    HI guys.

Iím new to the forum, glad to be here. I was wondering if you could possibly help me with a problem Iím having using Vegas Pro 12.

I have two layers one with monitor and second layer with image overlaid on top. Now I want to be able to move both from point A to point B at the same time but canít find a way to do it? Been doing my head in this one. spent that much time on youtube trying to find out how I think i'm going blind!

    Many thanksÖ

I would use the track motion to move the monitor to the second position. Then do the same for the fish image. Make sure the key frames are in the same place on each track. If you do this correctly they will move at the same pace across the screen. There are other ways to do this but that is one simple way.

    Hi midnight Blue..

Splendid advice, that fixed the problem for me right away. Obviously I made the right choice asking here. Very impressed..

    A big thanks

EDIT: Just saw Midnight sorted you out, but for future reference and an even easier solution -

Once again parenting tracks come to our rescue.

Place another video track above the two tracks you have (having lined up the two images).
Parent both tracks to the new track.
Now use parent motion on the new track (this is the track motion icon to the left of the track header) to move the image. Both images will move in perfect sync.

Vegas is great like that. I'm often finding things that I "knew about" but didn't realise the significance of.
