Default removing a black border around a 'still'

    Hi all,
I'm starting my next video project and with the very first media I've run into a query. I'm opening it with a still image (.jpg) and Vegas seems to be insisting on having a black border. When in Pan/Crop, I can't seem to find anything to remove this. Zooming in doesn't expand it to fill the video frame. I'm suspecting it might be aspect ratio, the image coulbe 4:3 and the video 16:9. The border is only to the left and right.
Any tips? Or do I need to crop the image first...

Found it, I turned off 'Maintain Aspect Ratio'
I'll be back to pester soon!
