Thread: Reduce Interlace Flicker

  1. Default Reduce Interlace Flicker

    Surely the most pointless option on Sony Vegas 12.
    If editing using interlaced video such as PAL 720x576 this should be switched on by default.
    As wonderful as Vegas is by not having this option ticked there is horrendous 'shimmering' on the rendered file.

    Of course I want to 'reduce interlace flicker'!
    They might as well have an option 'add interlace flicker'!

    No. Certainly not. I have to believe you a full understanding of Interlace to say such a thing? But I'm always willing to learn.

    In this example, there Shimmering is there as a result of what exactly?

    True, but why have a switch that selects for those occasions that it ISN'T a need to have it on CONTINUALLY? Bizarre . . .
