Thread: Best format

  1. Default Best format

    Hello All,

I was wondering what is the best format to use for a slideshow to be able to be viewd on a web page? I used avi and mpg and not only do they take ages to upload they won't play!

I understand that I could use the encoder with 1.5 but again I'm not too sure which format to export them in,

    Thank you as always,

    Best wishes
    Graeme

What website is it ? What are the stipulations of the video player on the site ?

    Hello,

Thank you, the web site is at St. Andrew's Church | Heritage

I used some code to embed the file into the page. It tells you that it is loading when you click Play but the goes back to ready!

If I was you I'd save myself a lot of head aches and just upload the video to YouTube, then embed the video onto the site.

Avi has never really worked to well for me. I use h.264 and it works great for all my videos!

The best format you can use is quicktime h.264 wich is good for all macs or Flash On2 VP6 which is most computer have flash compression that is quite good with very little loss of quality.
