Thread: Need to fix AVCHD Video file with corrupt frames!

Question Need to fix AVCHD Video file with corrupt frames!

I have a AVCHD Video file (.MTS) from video I shot with my Sony Cybershot that I am trying to copy off the SD card but it keeps giving an error. I can play the file except for a few frames that are corrupt but if i skip from 15:23 to 15:28 the whole video plays fine. I have successfully imported the file into multiple Video editing softwares ( Adobe premiere - Sony vegas - CyberLink PowerDirector ) when encoding they crash at the corrupt frames 15:23. The corrupt frames are not needed but when I try to clip them out it also crashes. Best case scenario is a lossless solution no re encoding but if I have to re- encode I will. Any suggestions ?

How it wouldn't let you delete this frame? I mean delete a large clipe from your film like 15:22 to 15:18 then add trim back the clip frame by frame.(I mean add frames to your clip)

Does it crashes when you try to render the movie or just exporting makes it crash?
