Default Can't render video? Horizontal lines?

Hello, I'm having trouble rendering a video in Sony Vegas 12. Every time I try to render this is what happens.

Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.

But what does the rendered output look like?
    What are your project settings?
What settings are you using to render?
    What are yoursource files?

Big clue here, Tim, they're Vertical lines not Horizontal lines. Be careful . . . Be very careful out there . . .

Rendered output? It's the vertical lines in the picture I showed. While it renders and even when it's done rendering it has all those vertical lines across the video.

    Project settings are as follows:

    Video

    'HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps)'

    Field order: None

    Pixel ratio: 1.0000 (Square)

Pixel Format: 32 bit- floating point

    Compositing gamma: 1.000 (Linear)

    View Transform: ACES RRT (sRGB)

    Full resolution rendering quality: Good

    Motion Blur Type: Gaussian

    Deinterlace Method: None

    Audio

    Master Bus Mode: Stereo

    Sample rate: 192,000

    Bit Depth: 24

    Resample and stretch quality: Best

And these are my rendering settings:

Format: Audio: 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, WMAVideo: 29.970 fps, 1280x720 Progressive, 8.4 Mbps
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.000

    Audio

    Mode: Quality VBR

    Format: Windows Media Audio 9.2

Attributes: VBR Quality 98, 48 kHz, stereo VBR

    Video

    Mode: Quality VBR

    Format: Windows Media Video 9

    Image size: High Definition (1280 x 720)

    Pixel aspect ratio: 1.000

    Frame rate: 29.970

    Seconds per keyframe: 5

    Quality: 100%

Target bit rate (bps): 8 M

Source files are MP4 video and audio.

Where did you get the files from? Could there be a form of encryption or copy protection (a stab in the dark as the video is encoded in WMV)

I recorded it using a device known as the 'Elgato Game Capture HD' and from there opened the .MP4 in Sony Vegas. Don't know if that help or not.
