Default Using 2 video files as one (playing at the same time)!?!?

Not a very descriptive title, I know.

I am trying to use 2 video files which fade into each other so to say, for example I want both videos to run at the same time, 1 being the original and one a background video...but faded into the original.
Is this possible without the use of Transitions?
2 Videos running simultaneously, both of them visible?

Thank you very much, but I want to somehow overlay the secondary video over the original one covering it completely, can;t I make it "transparent" somehow?

Yes, just place one video on a track above the other and make the top track semi transparent by sliding the level as much as you want. Other methods are also available to you.
