Default Software to automate searching for motion or sound in lots of files

    Hi all,

I have a collection of about 2200 video files of my little son sleeping in his bed at night. He has sleeping problems and wakes up several times a night, so we wanted to see what the reason was. I set up an infrared webcam and used motion detection software that triggered on motion or sound.

Now after a few nights, I ended up with about 2200 video files...

Most of them have too little movement or sound to be interesting, so I'd like to be able to use software that goes through the files and applies the same motion detection algorithms but then on already existing video files instead of real life image of a camera running. This way I can adjust the trigger levels a bit so I end up with only those files with most movement or sound.

Do you know of any software that can do that?

    Thanks a lot!

Sorry to lear of yr predicament.

Why don't you approach a hospital that specialises in sleep disorders? They may have what you need - or be willing to share what you have to date . . . either way it would avoid spending lots for only a single set of video clips.

    hope that helps.
