i'm new in the video editing "business" and i'm facing an interesting phenomena
1. basically i convert an .mp4 file taken with GoPro3 to .AVI
2. i then use an editing SW like ProShow or Windows Movie Maker and save the result as Mp4/mpeg
3. when i view the result in windows media player i see it has higher contrast and color mismatch (red hue, more contrast and saturation) but if i view the same file in VLC i see the result much more similar to the what i was expected,
my question: does anyone know what could causes that? is it a problem with the resultant file and compensated by VLC or is it a problem with windows media player?
attached is a snapshot to demonstrate the problem.
