Default Grey lines appear on right side of video

    Hallo,

I run Sony Vegas Pro 9 on Windows 32-bit.

I recently made a five minute video that comprises of several smaller videos, which are all in good, working order. When I render my video, the finished result looks OK, except for a grey thick line that appears on the right side of the screen. The line appears every ten seconds or so, running from top to bottom.

I don't know what could be causing this. Any help is appreciated!

It could be that the clips where the grey line appears is not set to the same size as the rest of the video but without more info it's just a guess. Does it occur from the same source material or is it just a random thing. What is under the track when the grey line appears.

It's a random thing. Nothing appears underneath the grey line. Before I render the whole video I select all the files, right-click > Switches and I de-select Maintain Aspect Ration. Is this the right thing to do?

    Thank you!

I've never heard of doing that. Why would you feel the need to ?

I saw it in a tutorial. I stopped doing that though. Here is a curious thing: I deleted all but one of the video files which make up one whole video and once I rendered that specific part, it came out just fine, no grey lines. But, when I add the rest of the videos and render them all together into one video file, I get grey lines all over the place.

It sounds like you need to check that they are all the same resolution or aspect ratio.
