Default What would be a good upgrade from the ADS Pyro A/V Capture?

    Hi,

I'm looking to update my Vegas-based video editing system. Right now I have an ADS Pyro A/V Link firewire capture interface, but I'm losing quite a few frames in the capture process.

What would be a good upgrade from this? I was thinking possibly a Canopus ADVC system - maybe 300? What are your opinions on this, or can you recommend something else?

    TIA

Can you first clarify that your capturing from an ANALOGUE source and not from a miniDV camera. If the latter is the case, simply use firewire.

If you're using analogue sources, and you've tried defragging and deleting large, unused files, then yes a Canopus ADVC 110 would be a step up.
