    Default Compressing video in FCE

    Hey guys,

I just got FCE and after a few weeks ago, and ive been fiddling around with it. I have finally got some sort of feel for it. Anyways, what im asking is, when i go to export my video, it gives me two choises 1) Quicktime Movie 2) Using Quicktime conversion. When i choise Quicktime Movie it exports my video extremly fast, but its FREAKING HUGE file!, so when i resort to plan B(Using Quicktime conversion) i save it as whatever but it takes forever to export the video.

There is also this faded out option that i cannot select its called "Using Compresser" and i canot get to it, does anybody know how i could compress my video on FCE?

    Thanks

Donít use the QY conversion it compresses it a lot you and end up with crap. What you want to do is export as a QT movie with the DV settings and bring it into compressor (which I think you get with FCE) and compress it into a MPEG-2 file which is a lot smaller and is the DVD standard codex.
