Thread: sound matching

  1. Default sound matching

How would you, in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, take a couple of clips with different sound levels and match them. When I say different sound levels I don't mean the volume, as they are both set on zero db right now, but I mean one sounds really loud and one is really low, is there a way to simply match them so they sound even?

    Thank you very much

You could try normalising the sounds on the clips or showing the volume levels and altering them with the pen tool, remember to use the audio mixer bar window>audio mixer, try keep your levels between -6 and -12 so that they don't get distorted.

Also if the sound level on the quieter clip is too quite you could always unlink the audio from the click right click>unlink audio and video then copy the audio track and paste it to the audio track underneath it and turn it up.

Why thank you I registered on here months ago but haven't really posted much. Origionally I came on here for info about adobe software because I was starting a course in college and didn't know anything but now I've almost finished my first year and know enough to help people out so started posting.
