I have Sony Vegas HD 10 Platinum (I hope you know what I am talking about, because I have no clue), and I cannot figure out how to render video in such a way that it maintains quality but the file size can be reduced. I am specifically looking to edit Tivo recordings recorded from HD TV. I want to take the .Tivo files, edit them, compress them and turn them into a universal file type. Whenever I try with Vegas, the file size is still huge, but then it looks like total crap. I used software called VideoReDo for a couple .Tivo files -- it allowed me to set a maximum KB limit in the compression and let me reduce quality a little but reduce file size a lot. What is the best way to render in Vegas that will allow me to make a 15GB file 2GB but still look good, as VideoReDo allowed me to do?
