An unmanned balloon ride seen from its on-board video and stills cameras.

I was advising the student on his project.

For me, it was OK, however:
    - I'd ditch the X-files music
    - I'd ditch the titles in favour of narration, which would free up the other half of the screen

IMHO a good way to mix video and photos is to move the video along, then show a few photos in succession with the camera "snap snap snap" sound, as I did in this example. Unfortunately the "snap snap snap" got wiped out when YouTube made me replace my "copyrighted" soundtrack with one of their own -- but I think you can get the idea.

Also -- you should send your student up with the balloon next time. I always go up with my camera.

The video was designed as a backdrop to exhibitions that we run. Passers-by wouldn't be able to hear a narration.
