I am looking for your feedback in the following area:

• My wife tells me this is the first time I have made a video that is "actually funny". Is it actually funny? Have I found the secret of my success?

It's a pretty niche market, but within that market I guess it works well.
I'm struggling to be entirely objective as I'm rather upset that Midnight has used all my boilerplate criticisms in his letter to you.
I think you're wrong about slimbob though. He won't go anwhere near Vaseline. Have you ever tried to get that stuff out of fur?

Isn't that just me to do something like that.

I don't think picking on a defenceless kitten is going to endear you to anybody but the line about Tim doing a wedding one day was funny.

I did one in 2007 as it happens. Though i don't like to admit it and therefore I speak with first hand experience when i say how much I admire Zero & co who do that stuff as a day job.

And Zam, you'll be pleased to know I filmed my 7 y/o daughter's class dancing to "The Ugly Bug Ball" this morning, went to my proper work for the rest of the day, came home and had the edit up on YouTube in time for bed.

I was going to film my grass growing this week, but TimA has put me off - he'd be bound to criticise the amount of moss and bare patches in the lawn.

I too admire Zero & co for what they do and know I would die on my feet attempting one. I still thought the line was funny. I a little disappointed that he couldn't think of anything more original than the porno gag for me. It's not like I don't hear this from everyone I meet
