    Default Best all-in-one tape deck?

    Hi,

I'm running Sony Vegas 11 pro and am wanting a tape deck that can play all times of tape, from VHS to miniDV and everything inbetween.

Ideally I'd like it to have an i.Link output. I'm looking to convert tape to digital.

Any suggestions on the best hardware to buy?

    Thanks.

JVC used to do a great one - Try to find a DVS2. Plays VHS/SVHS/mini DV and has firewire in/out

    Thank you.

I actually came across that one but turned it away because it had very bad reviews...

The DVS1 is the rogue to avoid. I used the DVS2 in anger for 3 years and it was ace!

Tim's right. The only issues with this deck at the time were not being able to control in-out points on the deck via the edit programme. As I only captured full tapes . . . I didn't havea problem
