Default Adobe Encore "(DVD Error -47001)"

    Hi,

Trying to put together a basic DVD with menus and a few short videos.

I'm using Adobe Encore 1.5. I've built my menus, linked and set everything up, however when i go to preview the videos, I get an error message saying:
"No decoder available for this stream type. (DVD Error -47001)".

Also when I go to preview the timeline, there is no image in the Monitor window. I've also had some random errors when I import AC3 audio into timelines, which pretty much forces me to restart the program.

Wondering if it will work when i force build the project.. ?

Also is it worth installing the 1.5.1 update of Encore?

    Help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers!

    Jo

Sounds like Encore is having trouble decoding and therefore converting your streams. Are these DVD compliant files?

    To my knowledge, yes...(?)

Encore encoded them as they're imported as Quicktime Movies.
The Quicktime files were exported either from After Effects or Premiere with compression as "None".

Then they are not DVD compliant streams and Encore is attempting to encode to MPEG2. Don't know the specific cause and solution, but one obvious step would be to chose an alternative codec for export such as huffvy for lossless or DV AVI for slight compression.

Ok I'll give that a go.
    Thanks for your help.
