As you can see, and despite taking the precaution of backups, the forums went decididly pear shaped during maintainance last night. After a sleepless night, I have managed to restore the key features of the site. You'll notice a few key features are misssing:

No attachments
No google mod (means some of your bookmarks won't work)
No style
Past Polls will not work
No FAQ
No downloads

On the plus side, you should find the forums run a lot quicker. I shall do my best over the next few days to restore normality. Your patience on the mean time is very much appreciated.

Until I restore the search engine database, the search feature is useless (not that anyone ever used it anway!).

Tonight I shall move the forums from this subdirectory and into the root, thereby replacing the current forums. I'll also apply a new theme to match the rest of the site and upload a new FAQ.

I will not currently implement any of the previous modifications which include but are not limited to attachments and downloads. The previous board was heavily modified with many database changes, which meant recreating the forums from the current version of phpbb was a difficult task. With the release of phpbb 3.0 expected some time this year, I will wait for this release which includes most if not all of the previously installed modifications. This will ensure a smooth and transition.

I hope that these changes have not caused any problems and apologise for any disruption to normal service.

You do whatever is easiest and most convenient for you Marc.

You do a great job and I for one am happy to put up with a few limitations for a while (or even longer) if it makes life easier for you.
