Lightbulb New Trailer - Advice and contacts invaluable

    Hey Guys,

My name is Thom and i'm from a newly formed business (just the two of us) based in Leeds clled Clear Cash Film.

Just wanted to share my trailer. Its for a new non-profitable pop-culture homage heavy based comedy.

If you guys have any feedback, that would be great! And i'm happy to reciprocate any feedback with anyone elses productions.

    Thanks guys,

Look forward to hearing what you think,

    Thom

I found that this trailor was interesting enough for me to watch "The Artist". Very good piece but what was the end all about. It lost me.

    Thanks Midnight Blue!

Yeah, The Artist was basically written on a napkin. I started a little film business with an experienced sound engineer and we tried to see what production value we could achieve. Our story structure's a little off to say the least. I wanna be a cinematographer at heart so we need to work with a storyteller.

I'm glad you liked it though. I see your in York. Thats my hometown, i also studied there. Did you?

Please link me some work if you have anything up.

    Thanks again,

    Thom

I thought this was good,I got the plot.
Just one thing if this is a trailer to the main film, which is what I thought it may be. What else would be highlighted in the film? For instance like the high points of a block buster movie trailer.

Yeah, we really just shot a little sequence. That character is one of four main characters in the film. Its like a bro-mance buddy road trip movie, heavily homaging all our favourite films.

It was kind of a test shoot we could make a teaser, it's most certainly not a traditional trailer.

Thanks for watching and the feedback guys

P.S Is it raining in Goodrington? ;p

No. but its Bloody cold. Can you send us some warm stuff down from Leeds. By the way forgot to mention the end of the trailer reminded me of a Basil Fawlty sketch.

Work, you must be joking, I haven't had any paid work all year. I didn't study anywhere, I just picked up a camera and kept having a go. I also read a lot on this forum. Nice to have somebody near by who's into filming.

Loved it - where's the facebook link so I can follow this?

Great actor - yes only Basil could be so angry and yet come across funny, but this guy had me in stitches - and the timing and camerawork was spot on.

Still there was plenty of subtlety, you respected the intelligence of the viewer (the song sheet was only half in shot, but the message got across - others would have stuck that in the viewers face), I can appreciate that.

    Brilliant
