Default Is macbook pro i7 enough for premier pro cs5?

I'm going to buy a new macbook and i really want to know if i can work without any problems with videos taken with canon 5d mark 2 in full hd by using premier pro cs5 for editing.
    Specifications of mac:
    I7 2.4 ghz , 8gb 1333mhz ram, 1gb gddr5 amd radeon hd 6770m, intel hd graphs 3000, 15.6inch 1680*1050 glossy screen.
    Thanks

The only small snag I have is that some brands of discs seem to fail on write - unbranded ones I have a few piles of - no idea what they are, but all the branded ones are fine. Mine only has 4G of ram and seems quite happy. I didn't actually buy it with the intention of doing editing, but it manages quite well. It will manage 3 streams of multi cam, 4 is too much using 1080 in .mts format. I can't comment on the Canon as I don't use this format - so maybe not too helpful.

very helpfull thank you. i just needed to hear that it works fine because i'll buy it with intention of doing editing. thanks again
