Thread: combining two different quality sources in premiere pro final encode?

Default combining two different quality sources in premiere pro final encode?

So I figured out how to edit avchd using one of the latest versions of premiere pro from adobe.
Now I made a trip to america a few months ago and I was gonne make a small montage.

I have two different sources. One was filmed with an JVC DV camera ( pretty old ). I already imported the scenes on my computer using firewire.
    The other source comes from a Sony HX 5 model which records in avchd;

Combining the two sources on my timeline in premiere is no problem.
However I dont know how I should encode the final cut. What resolution etc ( I want to record everything on a dvd )

    So one source is 1440x1080, 16:9, 1.778, 25 fps ( sony HX 5 source )
    The other one is 720x576, 4:3, 1.333, 25 fps ( jvc dv camera )

What should be my final encode? I want to record this on a dvd ( also have DVD quality )
And what project settings should I use when opening a timeline to edit these films?
Cause I want to combine both sources in one film!

    Tnx & greets

    Default

    So I edited everything on a project using projectsetting 1440 x 1080 i 25 fps
This means I dont need to adapt the source of the HD camera.
But I do need to alter the source of the DV camera.

on the timeline I increase the width ( of the dv camera source ) with 30 procent ( scale 130 ) and fit frame to screen.

There must be another way right?

Encoder is now working on the hour & half film ( takes about 10 hours )
then Im going to use DVD Architect to put the final on dvd.
I already encoded one part and it's about 9 GB in MPG II format.
Does dvd architect allow me to decrease the file size so I can put everything on one dvd?
So go from 9 gb to 4.4 gb?

    greets
