Default Moving clips on timeline in Premiere 6.5

    Hello all:

I did a search for this question, and didn't find what I was looking for, so please forgive me if this question has been answered before.

Anyway, after I have captured video from my VCR or camcorder, sometimes I want to cut parts out of the video, then pull the other parts together. Sometimes I have to drag a part of a clip for up to a minute to join it with the previous part.

My question is: Is there a way to join parts of clips with a keystroke, or, if I cut the front part of the clip out, to bring the remaining part back to the beginning of the timeline?

    Thanks for the help.

With 6.5 and PPro you right-click the gap between sequences, and select ripple delete from the pop-up menu.

I had to search twice to find it and I new it was there.
