    Default AVI file wont transfer to portable hard drive as it says its too big... its 12 gb

    the hard drive is 500 gb !! HEEEELLLPP

    Can't offer a fix, but I think your Info is a little light. What's the Ext drive format? - and importantly will it accept a file of the same size (with a different file type - like a very big Document!).?
    You could firm what is the running-time of the AVI file when played normally, etc.
    Is this Ext drive USB2 . . . ?
    PC OS might help, too.

    Is it formatted at FAT or NTFS. Isn't there a limitation of 4Gb file for FAT drives ? If you read this it kind of explains it. If this isn't the problem then I don't know what the problem is.

    Thanks forbthe advice .. Im very wet with pcs.. I just dont understand :(
