Default Why did sony vegas switch my file to .mxf?

Okay so usually when i save my sony vegas videos they are .m2ts but suddenly it became .mxf and windows media player can't play that.... the video only has .avi and .wmv files so i don't know what's wrong. I'm using sony vegas pro 11. Can somebody tell me how to fix it!

Let's rule out the obvious. On export did you accidently select .mxf and not .m2ts? (After all, they are likely next to each other in the pick list). Solution... export the video again, but select .m2ts.
