Are you using any new codecs such as DivX, XviD?

yeah man it is a divx compression i suppose, it may be because i do not ave the nimo codec pack installed, however, i can still play the files in windows media playerm...

why won't adobe premiere accept it??? It is pissuing me off!! Lol

    Thanks

it won't accept a DivX, because it's highly compressed, so you can't really edit with it because each frame doesn't contain all the information,

your best bet is to convert it to compliant DV AVI, then import that into Premiere,

you could use VirtualDub to do it, or loads of other applications no doubt.

Yeah, DivX is horrible to work with - it slows the editing down immensely.
