Thread: Lost Christmas - Short Film

  1. Default Lost Christmas - Short Film

I filmed this just for fun while in NYC over the holidays. We had a basic idea for a story and characters but came up with the details as we went. Im pretty happy with how it turned out but i welcome any comments, criticism or positive feedback!

Filmed with a Canon T2i and a small LED light (to use as a key light).

Let me know what you think!

I liked it. Nice simple story, well filmed (considering you shot it as part of your tourist duties) and well told for that.

If I had a minor quibble it would be around the use of masking/overlay, most notable in in the shot at the end when the subway carriage seat is clearly a much paler colour of yellow than the rest of it. No opening titles or closing credits?

    Well done I say.

I agree if you just made that up as you went along you did well. I see the seat on the subway was actually a different colour it's not a masking difference.

    Well done.

Cherchez la femme! So it is. Can one cite advanced middle-age as well as watching on an iPod touch?

    God job.

Always getting lost as a kid in toy shops.

Never had a guardian angel to get me back home safe though.

Thought the camera work was really good.

    Thanks for all the feedback!
What did you guys think of the "snow" effect?

It worked for me otherwise I would have said. I think it helps to give the girl "another worldly" appearance.
