Default one frame chases away another ala Dallas

I'm trying another take on a bike jump - three angles have been shot and, after a suggestion from Stannard, I am trying to get the succeeding shot to chase away the prior with a black line between. I've got the black line but the chasing frame catches up and overtakes the prior. how can I keep that black line a constant distance? I'm thinking the length of time between the keyframes is going to have to be exactly the same - how do I do that?

Set the starting position at the beginning of the clip for both tracks Then move the curser to the point on the time line you want the movement to stop. Open the pan/crop tool on track one and move the image to the end position this will set a keyframe. Close that and then open the pan/crop tool for track two without moving the curser on the time line this gives you the correct position for the keyframe of the end position on track two, so set the end position on this and close the tool.

When you play the video you will see the two track are in sync.
