    Default "24" tv series effects

I am like, TOTALLY new to this forum and just started to findle with Adobe Premier Pro 1.5.

I was just wandering if there was any way to do a video transition like in the tv series "24".

    Something like this:

Video 1 moves to one side (resizes into one small screen)

Video 2 moves in but does not overlap Video 1

Video 1 & 2 plays simultaneously for a couple of seconds

Video 2 overlaps or "pushes" Video 1 out and eventually takes the whole screen

    Any help would be appreciated.

If there's any other software or add-on that could do this please tell. Cheers.

You'll be pleased to hear that this is an absolute piece if piss with premiere 1.5.

Just animate the movement and size controls over time, syncing the different layers together.

but changign the aspect of the frame from 4:3 or 16:9 to square for your picture in picture might take a bit more doing. Look for a crop effect. I'm sure there is one but I've not used it. (I do my cropping elsewhere).

thanks. it worked out after like 3-4 hours of fiddling.

except for the cropping thing. now it looks something like a powerpoint presentation.

so how do you crop your video?

Go to the video effects, chose transform, and there you have a crop plugin.

I mean, how do you crop and enlarge (i.e. animate) the cropping at the same time?
