Default Sony Vegas 11, everything seems sped up, but it's not.

    Hi all,

Having a major problem here, I'm working on a "montage" which has taken me ages and I've screwed something up. After a certain point all the clips look like they've been sped up, but they haven't, they're running at 1.00. If I delete the clip and re-add the original it still plays back at like 3x speed and I have no idea why. The montage is around 5 minutes long and the first half is fine, but the second half is playing back sped up. I've been working on this montage for days and this is the first time this has happened and I have no idea what I've done wrong.

    Any help would be fantastic.

Have you put any FX at track level. Can you provide a screen shot.

I'm a complete novice so please bear with me, I'm not sure what you mean by "at track level", but the only FX I've added is contrast/brightness.

Here's a screenshot of where it's really noticeably faster than the rest, hope this is what you wanted: http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/5175/svproblem.jpg

Thanks for the screen shot unfortunately I don't see anything to give me a clue as to what is going on. By track level I mean putting an FX on the whole track like you do with audio.

Does this problem occur once the video has been rendered or is it just a preview problem ?

Both, but I seem to have fixed it, I noticed the audio was really behind the clip, so I grouped them together and deleted them and re-added the raw footage which has fixed it, apparently. I tried re-adding it before without grouping and it didn't work.

Ok I'm glad you fixed it.
