Default best prem pro for my machine

hi all, ive been using prem pro 2 for some years, i want to upgrade to hd compatible,
ive listed my machine spec below, i was wondering if anyone could recomend the best version of premiere to go with my machine,
i dont realy want to upgrade too much hardware, maybe ram, but i think the machine should be upto the job.

im running xp 32bit, so cs5 is out of the question

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your RAM is good if you want to change anything buy a CPU, I think its better. I used premiere pro3 I think it would help. and you have matrox. which is a good thing but I dont think works on win7. but in my opinion we should use a system that has been examined. i mean xp is good. but i suggest prem3 or edius 5.I hope it helps.

Cs3 for sure, it was a pretty rock solid release. Cs4 was a bit experimental with new stuff and "optimized" for 64bit use. I skipped it, and waited for Cs5.
