I'm quite new to Sony Vegas, and I can't seem to get the trimmer working for a video I wish to edit. When I try to open it in the trimmer, it only shows the first frame while the audio plays without a problem. I've tested the file in VLC and it plays fine.
The file is a .avi, though it's quite large and appears to have a huge framerate (487 thousand frames per second!). Is this likely the cause, and if so, how can I reduce the framerate? I considered that it might be due to my aging PC's small amount of RAM, but I've never had this problem before with other video editors.
