    Default Overlapping movies and stuttering

    Dear,

I have two videos imported in adobe premiere pro. I scaled them to 30% and positioned them so they both play on a black screen and do not overlap. When I render the avi-movie and play it on my computer it stutters on the moments that both videos play simultaneously. The moments when there is only one playing(for example in the beginning), I don't get that stuttering.
Is there anyone who can explain this or help me?

    Thanx in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Stef

it's most loikely that the video you editied is in mpeg or some other compressed format, export the clips seperatly into uncompressed dv then import the new dv footage into premiere, i think that will pretty much definatly fix the problem.

    Thank you for your help!

What format do you suggest then? My files come from a Sony Videorecorder and are in VOB-format. I just renamed them to mpg and it works to import or edit them in Adobe Premiere Pro. The disadvantage is that I lose the sound in Adobe PPro, while if I play them in a media-player it works pefectly with sound. Is there anyone who can explain this?
What other format should i use then to keep my sound and to get rid of the stuttering when i play two clips together? Avi?

    Thanx again and kind regards,
    Stef

Adobe Premiere does not natively support MPEG. Please read the relevant part of the Frequently Asked Questions:

Ok, thank you very much. I checked the FAQ, but must have overlooked it.
    Stupid of me. Thank you!
