    pbassred,
have you tried Project > Import Media > Files of type: All Files ? Or sdcopy free software to rename and then import to VMS10Plat.?

I don't know if it's just Vegas Pro but so long as you have a recent version of Quicktime you should be able to bring .mod files straight onto the time line, I know I can. If the Platinum version is different then I'm wrong.

Yes, it's the same in VMS10 and 11HDPlats. as in Vpro. As long as I choose All Files (Import Media/ Files of type) my .mod files show up and can be imported.

Actually it could have been any of these answers could have been right. Its a new system and i didn't have Quicktime installed. I used a utility called "Handbrake" in the end. Thanks
