Default On Blu-Ray: burn files vs. burn BD Movie

question for burning a BD: Provided that the movie file has a standard size (10GB), and my Blu-Ray player can read either one, is there a difference in audio/video quality if the movie I will put on a BD is put as a)copy/burn the file, or b)burn the movie as a Blu Ray movie. My burning software provides both options. But for some reason (even though the disc is 25gb) it says there is not enough space for the "blu-ray" movie option. But if I just "burn" it as a file, it accepts it! The viewing result will be the same? Thanks...

    Simple answer is no.

If your player can manage MKV or TS files then the quality will be identical to the original movie file.

The down side is there may well be no menus or chapter marks.
