Default Final cut express export issues

Hi there. I have just moved over to mac and got final cut express. I have exported a few bits but found that it seemed to be displaying with a black frame around. whether in quicktime fullscreen or uploaded to the web, it doesn't seem to display full screen.

See video my bro did here for an example:

Help would be great! I am a novice with this so please keep simple if poss

    The following details may help:

Recording on a Nikon D3100 DSLR
Recording at 1280x720 30 frames per second

The program is set to these settings:

    Format: (all formats)
    Rate: (all rates)
    Use: DV-NTSC

    Export:
    Exported as Quicktime movie.
    Make movie self-contained: yes

The problem is DV-NTSC is 720x480 and you are importing footage which is 1280x720, If I remember rightly there should be another setting in FCE which lets you choose a setting that has that size, Try it out, If not it could be another issue.

Ah many thanks my friend, that brings me one step closer!

Does anyone know which one would be the right option for me to use? There are so many on that list. Wish they would just put in Final Cut what resolution each setting was for!
