    Hi im after some advice, does m2ts footage really need de-interlacing? and what is the best way to go about it what software works the best for de-interlacing? on windows 7 computer?

    It doesn't have to be deinterlaced that's up to you and what you will be using it for. The best way to do it is in your NLE when you render the original footage.

    In that case I would usually de-interlace as most computer monitors are progressive screens. BUT you don't have to.

    thanks, i suppose i could always de interlace 1 and not the other as a comparison!

    So long as you choose the right field order it shouldn't really matter either way.
