Default Looking for Wedding video tips for Surrey (July 2012)

I would like to have my wedding filmed on 14th July 2012. I am sure there a plenty of posts on here asking for low cost options and I don't want to offend or devalue the skill/cost involved in producing a wedding video. My partner and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and I would love to capture the day so we can look back but unfortunately we cannot afford to spend much and may end up with a family member and our home video if all else fails.

I would appreciated any advice on how to cut down on the cost of a wedding video, such as time spent filming or editing options that may help to reduce the cost. Similarly if there is anyone out there that is looking to build a portfolio or has a low cost option in the Surrey area (Farnahm GU10 2BA) and is interested please get in touch.

    Many thanks.

I know some couple really are on tight budgets, so your request is understandable.
A little more information always helps. Can you edit/have you an edit system? If you have neither and you're prepared to risk the portfolio builder at a cheap rate then I'm sure someone will help out.
If you have both, then why not designate a family member to film for you? Email me and I'll take you through the steps needed to capture the day as good as your equipment will allow.
My opinions are just that . . . Mine. It's not personal, but is based on my emotional and professional reaction to requested critique. If you choose to ignore constructive comments, I'll just assume you're a vanity poster and not posting to improve your filming and editing skills.

    Hi Nicci,

I worked at a senior level in TV for many years on shows such as BBCs Saturday Kitchen & Richard & Judy before setting up Films in Bloom, a company which specialises in producing wedding films. Although not free, we are very reasonably priced and happy to discuss a package that can fit your budget. We are based 35 minutes from you in Alresford (nr Winchester). We also offer editing packages if you do decide to designate a family member to film for you, which might be something to consider...

You can view our showreel here: and a short preview of one of our latest weddings here: (password Gemma).

If you would like to see more of our work I can send you DVD copies.

    Best wishes,

    Elissa (m:07800 849417)
